Keep public identity intentionally small

A username, display name, bio and profile photo can help members recognize one another. Financial records remain private to the account and do not appear in member search or public profiles.

Share progress, not source data

A savings challenge can communicate a target, deadline and progress percentage to its participants without revealing account balances or individual savings entries.

Keep participation optional

Members choose whether to search, message or join a challenge. Blocking, reporting and account controls remain available, while budgeting features continue to work independently of Collab.

Useful collaboration needs a clear boundary: social actions on one side, private financial records on the other.
